Dear Mayor and Councillors.

I am greatly concerned that you are fluoridating the water supply of Taupo and Turangi and I ask that the council cease this as soon a possible. I strongly object to our water being fluoridated and consider it to be a form of compulsory medication which is illegal under the medicines act. The mandate to fluoridate as ordered by the Health Department has been found to be illegal by the high court as it infringes on our rights under the Bill of Rights and the UN Charter that no person shall be medicated against their will. I also am strongly opposed to the fluoridated water ending up in our treasured lake Taupo and then into all living organisms such as trout and koura. I know of many residents who get their drinking water from local wells, rainwater storage or by purchasing drinking water and this seems quite objectionable to those ratepayer when we are surrounded by some of the purest water in the world. .

I request that you urgently reconsider this form of compulsory medication.
